In this age of space and high technology, computers have become a part of our daily life and they are being increasing used in all fields especially in education. On this background the school took the lead in providing latest computer education, the school has drawn up an innovative way to impart computer training to the students with a view to promoting IT awareness.

The school is running a separate Computer Department, which includes 2 well equipped laboratories with 54 latest technology computers and 1 instructional room. From the beginning itself, the institute has included advance languages and Packages in its syllabus to make students aware in IT.

Objectives and Goals of the Department:

  • Getting students familiar with the use of computers
  • To improve the creative skills of the students by giving them project based computer education.
  • To encourage the use of specialized latest software packages that will make students aware of latest computer      technology
  • Computer is used as teaching aid and subject teachers are to be made well versed with computer to enhance           curriculum based teaching

    Miss. Gudakuwala Sadaf Azim & Miss. Shireen Salim Shaikh of Std. IX stood 1st. in the inter school computer competition organized by Jnyana prbhodhini, Nigdi Kendra in September 2006. Each one of them got cash prize of Rs. 200/- & two certificates- Individual & Group.


    A Computer Competition was organized by "Dnyana Prabodhani Navnagar Vidyalaya (Computer Department) at Sindhunagar, Pradhikaran, Nigdi, Pune. From 18th Sept. to 22nd Sept. 2006.
